Oil Water Separators for the Marine Industry and Industrial Equipment.

Static Mixers (often called motionless mixers) are used in every Industry to mix Liquids, Gases and Particulates. Static mixers are exceptionally efficient and will provide a level of mixing found with no other technology. Properly designed, a static mixer will cut your energy costs by up to 95% and will eliminate your need for spare parts!
Agilis Static Mixers are the premium static mixers on the market today. Agilis Static Mixers have no moving parts and provide Quad Action mixing to assure a complete homogeneous mixing environment of the various streams.

Quad Action Mixing
The Agilis Quad Mixers provide rapid and thorough mixing through the use unique patented mixing profiles. These profiles force the various streams of products to be mixed through four separate and simultaneous mixing actions:
- Exponential Division
- Counter current flow
- Transverse Mixing
- Edge Effects and Radial Shear
Exponential Division
Exponential Division is division and re-division of a process stream. Exponential division is valuable in Static mixers for both laminar and turbulent flow.
Each time the flow passes over a single profile it is divided into two streams. One profile gives two divisions, two profiles give 4 divisions and three profiles give eight divisions. This process is effective for either laminar or turbulent flow. Using a 21 profile mixer will provide over two million striations. This provides the necessary contact and distribution of the various streams.
Counter Current Flow
Turbulent flow conditions provide further mixing actions. In turbulent flow the Agilis Technologies Static Mixer generates Counter Current Flow.
In Counter current Flow the flow area is divided into two separate flow streams at each profile interface.
As each flow stream flows over the profile face it is forced to fold back on itself and move in the opposite direction of the main gas flow. This enhances the mixing process by creating shear areas using very low pressure drop.
Transverse Mixing
One of the most important aspects of the Agilis Technologies Static Mixer is its ability to provide Transverse Mixing. In Transverse Mixing, as the flow stream moves from one profile blade to another, it is forced to move laterally across the pipe to the opposing wall. This action occurs as the material on the opposing wall is forced into a similar motion making contact between the two streams well integrated and complete. This motion quickly increases the total mixing effect and contact in the unit.
Radial Mixing
Radial Mixing provides radial shear to the mixing streams. Radial Mixing moves the process streams from the center of the mixer to the outer edges and eliminates any dead zones and enhances re-mixing of previously mixed areas.
By utilizing Radial Mixing no portion of the process streams is untouched by the mixing action. The uneven profile legs produce centrally located vortices that induce mixing from the center of the pipe to the pipe wall. At each overlap of the mixer, this radial mixing flow reversal maximizes mixing action.
Agilis Static Mixers
Only Agilis Technologies Static Mixers have the unique uneven profile legs which allow true counter current flow and plug flow hold back. Contact Agilis or your local Representative today for innovate and efficient solutions to your mixing solutions.
