Improved Fan Performance
All fans work using standardized fan curves.
These curves are based on air density, which is a function of the fan design
and the temperature, pressure and molecular weight of the gas. As ambient
temperatures rise fan performance decreases and this translates into less air
being delivered by the fan. The Agilis FAN-FOG System can replace this lost performance.
The FAN-FOG System will allow you recapture
this lost performance by increasing the density of the gas. This increase in gas
density is achieved by lowering the gas temperature.

Operation
FAN-FOG Systems operate by cooling the inlet gas
and making it denser. With this increase in gas stream density the fan operates more
efficiently. This simple technological trick has been used for many years to improve
the performance of Turbine Inlet Generators and other process equipment with dramatic results.
The FAN-FOG System improves on this technology.
By using sophisticated fogging nozzles and controls the FAN-FOG Systems generates
very fine droplets (as small as 0.5 microns) that evaporate almost instantly. This
evaporation cools the gas making it denser and improving fan performance.

Controls
FAN-FOG Systems can be provided with a wide
variety of controls. All systems come with a fan on/off interlock which prevents
their operation while the fan is not running. Additional controls can include:
- Relative Humidity Sensors
- Multi-Bank Injection
- Temperature Controls
FAN-FOG Systems are fully automatic.
